Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure
BillCheck is free to use and funded by advertising. This page explains exactly how that works and the limits we place on ourselves.

How we are funded
The site carries display advertising served by Google AdSense. We charge users nothing, we do not sell data, and we do not accept payment from utility providers for placement or favourable coverage.
How ads are placed
- Ads are visually separated from editorial content by clear spacing and borders.
- No ad is placed so that it can be mistaken for a bill amount, a “View bill” button, or a download link.
- We do not use pop-ups, interstitials that block content, or auto-playing audio ads.
- Content always outweighs advertising on every page — we do not publish thin pages built around ads.
- We never encourage clicks on ads, and we do not click our own ads.
Affiliate links
We currently run no affiliate programme. If that changes, any affiliate link will be labelled inline as sponsored or affiliate, will carry the appropriate rel attribute, and this page will be updated before the first such link goes live. Our recommendations will never be determined by commission.
Sponsored content
We do not publish paid guest posts, paid links, or sponsored reviews. If we ever accept sponsorship, it will be disclosed at the top of the page in plain language, not buried in a footer.
Data used for advertising
Google may use cookies to personalise the ads you see. You can opt out in Google Ads Settings. Details of every cookie category are in our Cookie Policy, and the wider picture is in our Privacy Policy.
Advertise with us or report an ad
To enquire about direct advertising, or to report an ad that is deceptive, adult, malicious, or otherwise inappropriate, email ads@checkpakbills.org with a screenshot and the page URL. We investigate every report and block offending advertisers.
