Privacy Policy

BillCheck Pakistan (“BillCheck”, “we”, “us”) operates the website checkpakbills.org. We are an independent, privately operated information service based in Pakistan. We are not a utility company, a government body, or a payment processor, and we are not affiliated with any provider listed on this site.

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, CNIC, address, or phone number to check a bill. Most importantly:

• We do not store your reference or consumer number. It is used once, in your browser, to build the link to the provider's own portal, and then discarded.
• We never see your bill contents — those are rendered by the provider, not by us.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data with anyone, for any purpose.

• Anonymous usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to count page views and understand which providers people look for. This includes approximate location (city level), device type, browser, and referring page. It is aggregate and is not used to identify individuals.
• Contact form submissions. If you write to us, we store the name, email address, and message you provide so we can reply. Nothing more.
• Server logs. Standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) are kept for a short period for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

This site is supported by advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on checkpakbills.org. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Third-party vendors, including Google, may show our ads on sites across the internet.

The third-party services we rely on are: Google Analytics (measurement), Google AdSense (advertising), Cloudflare (delivery and security), and Supabase (database hosting for our blog and contact messages).

We use a small number of cookies for analytics and advertising. There are no marketing cookies set by BillCheck itself. Full detail, including how to disable them, is in our Cookie Policy.

Contact messages are retained for 24 months, then deleted. Server logs are retained for 30 days. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default 14-month window. Reference numbers are never written to storage at all.

You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@checkpakbills.org and we will respond within 30 days. Because we hold so little data, most requests are resolved quickly.

BillCheck is a general-audience utility tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Database access is protected by row-level security, and administrative areas require authenticated staff accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but because we store almost nothing, the impact of any incident is deliberately minimal.

When we change this policy we update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes are also noted on our blog. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
